Bosso kickoff pre-season training

Bulawayo giants Highlanders Football Club set the ball rolling today with their first pre-season training session at Barbourfields Stadium.

More than 30 old and new players including Bosso reserve players attended the training session under the watchful eye of interim coach Cosmos Tsano Zulu.

Senior players who attended the first training session included Eric Mdzingwa, goal keeper Njabulo Nyoni, Felix Chindungwe whilst Valentine Ndaba watched from the sidelines.

Knox Mutizwa and Bruce Kangwa will miss the start of pre-season training as they are part of the Warriors Chan squad.

The interim coaches Amini Soma Phiri and Cosmos Zulu will lead Highlanders pre-season preparations as the club awaits the issuance of a work permit to their new Dutch coach Elroy Akbay.

Soma –Phiri was not available for the first training session as he is reported to be in South Africa for an attachment at Moroka Swallows.

Despite losing Obadiah Tarumbwa, Nqobizitha Masuku and Teenage Hadebe whose loan deals expired on December 31, Bosso is likely to retain most of their players from last season.

Tarumbwa and Hadebe crossed the floor to champions Chicken Inn while Masuku has joined FC Platinum and Mthulisi Maphosa is set to join newly promoted Bulawayo City.
